Magic Happens
This month of April has seven very helpful planetary alignments and seven that will challenge us yet again.
Once again, below, I have listed all the dates in 2005 where some of the planets change direction. Each month I will look at how this can manifest in our lives according to which planet is changing sign and/or direction.
Jupiter remains retrograde for 4 months up until 5 June 2005.
20 March Mercury turned retrograde for 3 weeks until 12 April 2005.
22 March Saturn turned direct.
27 March Pluto turned retrograde for 5 months up until 2 September 2005.
12 April Mercury goes direct.
19 May Neptune goes retrograde for 5 months up until 25 October 2005.
05 June Jupiter turns direct.
14 June Uranus turns retrograde for 5 months up until 15 November 2005.
23 July Mercury turns retrograde for 3 weeks up until 15 August.
16 August Mercury turns direct.
02 September Pluto turns direct.
01 October Mars turns retrograde for over 2 months up until 9 December 2005.
14 November Mercury turns retrograde for 3 weeks until 3 December 2005.
15 November Uranus goes direct.
22 November Saturn turns retrograde for over 4 months up until 4 April 2006.
04 December Mercury goes direct.
10 December Mars goes direct.
There will be a New Moon in Aries, on Saturday 9 April at 19 degrees of Aries. Those who wish to start new projects or enterprises will be filled with high energy and enthusiasm. Projects can get off to a good start and will be finalised quickly.
Mercury is still retrograde and will remain in that phase until 12 April 2005 and will turn direct at 1 degree of Aries. I will quote again from previous articles how we mere mortals are influenced by this phenomena. (See my feature article on my website for an in-depth comment on this). However briefly, it is a time when people seem to go into an indecisive mode, or they make a decision and then renege on it at a later time. For some though this can be a good period for mental reflection and deep thought to understand what it is that you truly want to do. Often writers are highly productive during this time and some people are able to get lots of paper work done. Some have to re-trace their steps, or send that fax twice, as there are glitches and hitches that can get in the way of clear communications. This is not the time to make major decisions if you can help it. As this influence will last approximately 24 days, it can interfere with plans and arrangements, such as to do with travel, tickets, and time schedules. If you travel to a particular destination during this time, you may later go there again in the future. This can be one of the most rewarding times to reflect on your thoughts, go over any previously laid plans and reassess whether it is exactly what you had in mind. You do not need to actually set things in motion at this time, just do the planning and preparation ready for when Mercury goes direct, which will be on 12 April 2005. So check the documents three times, allow for alterations to arise, and then check it all once more for accuracy. However, if you do need to leave a loophole open for further possible changes, then this may actually prove to be a fortunate time to commence a project where there will be no objection to changes you wish to make at a later time.
Mercury will go direct on Tuesday 12 April while at 1 degree of Aries, so if you have any personal points at that degree, some information may come to light regarding the area of life that Mercury rules in your own personal chart. Generally speaking, when Mercury moves back into direct motion things start to pick up speed, (especially as it is occurring in Aries, the sign associated with things moving rapidly) especially if they have recently undergone alterations or delays of any kind. Communications get back to normal, people will finally return your phone calls and the fax machine decides to work yet again, finally! Plans that had been put on hold, or holiday arrangements may now seem to flow a little smoother. You can safely trust that your thought processes are once again on track and not as changeable as they have been recently.
Venus will enter her own sign of Taurus on Saturday 16 April and will remain there until 11 May. This is a time when most will be focussing on the comforts of life and the material issues that affect us on a day to day basis. People will be looking for stability and safety connected to their resources. The musical and arts centres will be in focus as well as items of beauty, furnishings and all women’s products. A particularly good time to put your money into investments that centre around these products or services. There will be a particular announcement made this month concerning a love affair that will be put on more solid footing. Perhaps someone in a high position or connected to royalty makes an engagement announcement!
The Sun will move into Taurus on Wednesday 20 April and during this month long period there will be rigidity and stiffness associated with what some believe is the only way to go or get things done. Whilst this can be good in moderation, the side effects are that there will be little flexibility and this can cause aggravation and a one eyed view of the world. The banking and financial industries may undergo some restructuring. People will be looking for practical solutions to problems. Luxuries, materialism and comfort will be a priority for some. This can be a productive time for starting a new business, especially if you are prepared to put in the dedication of a long period of time. Quick results will not manifest during this time.
Pluto is still retrograde and will remain in that phase up until 2 September. Pluto is the transformer of the zodiac, and will literally turn your life around when making alignments to your own personal planets. However, when in retrograde phase it allows you the opportunity, once again to re-assess you current motives, your passions, your intimate relationships and your attitude towards, life, death, and even sex to decide if what you have chosen in recent times is for your overall good and development. Personally I prefer it when Pluto is in direct motion, but as I have said before, we can’t always have the planets where we want them or going in the direction we may prefer. Utilise this time to delve into your subconscious, go exploring your deepest psyche and uncover elements that you thought were hidden, even from yourself, and analyse them as if your life depended on it. The revelations you may experience may literally wipe your current slate clean and allow you to pursue your goals with absolute freedom when Pluto resumes direct motion in September 2005. Pluto will remain in Sagittarius until 27 November 2008. It will retrograde back into Sagittarius for five months starting in June 2008 and then re-enter Capricorn in late November 2008.
This month I feel we could all learn to be a little more tolerant of others. We should focus more on what unites us rather than on what divides. From approximately mid month we will have both the positive influences of the Sun and Venus in the sign of Taurus. Taurus is a fixed and stable sign and one that is related to what we value, finances and the music and artistic fields. It can also be a time when people are somewhat immoveable and intolerant of change. Laziness can creep into our lives and makes us slothful if we let it. We should focus on the positives of this sign, which is being reliable, stable and caring. Magic happens, though only if we can open our eyes and our minds to it.
For horary enthusiasts, continuing all month we still observe Neptune in Aquarius and Uranus in Pisces indicating that they are still in mutual reception.
Now down to the specifics of daily planetary activity.
The favourable days in April 2005 are:
Tuesday 6 April: Venus sextile Neptune. This is just wonderful for a first date, getting engaged or married or throwing a huge party or other social gathering. If you utilise the themes of the ocean, romantic or magical effects the outcome will be truly fascinating for all those who participate. Musicians, artists and poets will be in their element and thoughts and the imagination flowing freely and inspired by the mystical aspects of the Universe. A good day to open a business focussing on the elements of beauty, flowers, crystals, perfumes and women’s products.
Thursday 7 April: Sun sextile Neptune. This is a beautiful alignment between the Sun and Neptune. This is one of those days that will seem magical to those who are open and attuned to the cosmic vibrations around them. A positively inspiring day and one that will be long remembered as a day that brings the beautiful side of nature and life to our attention and the recognition that there are great wonders all around us, each and every day, if we just open our eyes and senses. Spend some time relaxing near the ocean and it will soothe your tired or restless soul. Music will be inspirational and those who are gifted in this area may create some magical lyrics or tunes. Opening a store selling musical or artistic products should fare well.
Friday 8 April: Mars trine Jupiter. Another wonderful day promising opportunities that will bring growth and abundance to those who put in the time and effort. A good day to start a new business or buy a car or go travelling. Some will take on more than they can handle, but most will be wise with their time and their expectations. The travel industry will be busy and this is a good time to invest in something you have researched previously and now you can take a punt and anticipate that all will end well.
Monday 11 April: Venus trine Pluto. This is a magnificent combination and can produce a great day for those seeking true love. I adore this kind of planetary formation. If you should happen to meet a new lover under this influence you will be radically changed overnight. This new person will seem magnetic and passionate. You may feel you have been put under a spell, and in a way you are right. This influence is deep, hypnotic and highly sexual, so expect to go into a relationship and become totally and intimately involved, and very quickly too. Also a good day to get married, start a new business enterprise especially if it involves regeneration themes, getting fit or to do with women’s products and services.
Wednesday 13 April: Mars conjunct Neptune. This is an influence that can go either way. This can be brilliant for putting your head together with another for inspiration. As Mars rules the head and Neptune rules the imagination, much can be gained by taking some time out to receive some insight into a situation you had been trying to fathom. Energy directed positively and with great clarity will bring many rewards. This would be a favourable time to put your idealistic intentions into action. This alignment can be used positively by those who are wise, and on a personal level, if we wish to tune into the Cosmos today, some of us may be witness to some amazing revelations on how we can all live in unity and where our future is heading on a spiritual level. Some will be given the gift of great clarity of vision and be able to tap into the medium of success, or their definition of it. Negatively however, this is an alignment which may cloud our vision or create errors of judgement. It can potentially be deceptive day and should be treated with care. There is great potential for people masquerading as someone else so check all those beards and wigs, just in case. Those who seek to disguise themselves will do very well and walk off with the loot before anyone even suspected that they could possibly be the culprits. It will be somewhat like the lady with the baby in the pram who is camouflaging her real intent of treachery and deceit, in a very big way. Do not start a new business today or attempt some impossible feat, for it will have holes in it that are hard to see or instructions to decipher.
Thursday 14 April: Sun trine Pluto. This can prove to be a great time to try to remake yourself or change your spots, if you need to. A day to spring clean, get rid of the old and outworn and be refreshed by the newness of starting out on a new path. Someone in power may take a gigantic leap forward or be presented with an offer that almost seems too good to be true, but it will ultimately change the course of their destiny. A wonderful day to get married or start some new enterprise that involves reform or renovation in any way. If you wish to pull down the walls and rebuild them, this is the best time to do it. New relationships formed today, whether friendship or intimate, will literally put your life into a different perspective and possibly change your life forever.
Saturday 23 April: A great day to open a gym or get involved in any business or project with the aim of improvement or transformation. A good day to start some home renovations as the energy and ideas will be there. Also a good time to buy a new car, start your own mechanical engineering business or car retailing, or car repair shop. Physical energy will be in abundance so if you want to flex the muscles and enter a marathon run, then go to it.
Sunday 24 April: Venus sextile Uranus. Those who dare to be innovative will capture the attention of their audience in a startling and exciting way during this time. Love relationships started today will be different in as many ways as there are stars in the sky. People involved in the arts, musical, beauty or related fields will be very productive and become more creative and inventive than usual. Those who wish to shock the conservative ones will be pleasantly surprised at how well they are actually accepted. The more unique your product or talent that you wish to show or sell will prove highly prosperous. A good day to get married, go on a first date, buy new clothes or throw a party or become involved in any form of entertainment. Love at first sight can happen today for those who are footloose and fancy free. However, be aware that this can be over before you have found out their surname. Sorry, but that is the erratic and unpredictable nature of Uranus aligning with Venus the planet of love and harmony. Relationships and friendships can start and end relatively quickly, but hey, if that’s what you want you can have it in abundance today if you go looking for it. There may also be some unusual couplings going on and you could hear of some people who get together whom you may think are unsuited, and well that may be, but just try stopping them and you will be ignored. Some may take leave of their senses when it comes to starting a relationship with someone new. Some relationships may last a long period of time, but only if a huge amount of flexibility and freedom is incorporated into their lifestyle.
The not so favourable days in April 2005 are:
Sunday 3 April: Venus opposition Jupiter. This is not perhaps the worst day in the month, unless you are going shopping with that brand new credit card and get carried away by all the goodies on offer. Things will be over-done and lavish and if you apply this in relation to a party, well at least everyone will have a good time, even if they do eat and drink too much or start some new relationship that seems inappropriate to their status. Weddings held today will be big, brash, boastful and very expensive. Diamond dealers may have a good retail trading day as will businesses selling perfumes, flowers, clothing, jewellery and other items of beauty and adornment.
Sunday 3 April: Sun opposition Jupiter. Not the kind of day to make promises that you later may find hard to keep. So don’t try to talk or discuss philosophical issues with those in positions of power or associated with the legal sector of society. Some human rights may be violated on a day like this. Not the kind of day to be caught up in a big crowd as things can get out of hand and problems arise to do with large gatherings of people, especially near big buildings or law courts. Do not start any new business venture unless you have a lot of capital to back you up when things don’t pan out as much, or as soon as, you had hoped for. I also would not recommend getting married as it may prove to be a heavy burden involving more than you can safely or adequately handle.
Friday 8 April: Venus square Saturn. Friday 28 January: Venus opposition Saturn. Not a good day to get married, start a new relationship or go on a first date. Any one of these will be productive of delays, limitations or productive of burdens and other difficulties that will be hard to overcome. People will tend to be hard to reach or fathom or understand. Barriers that tend to divide will be more noticeable than usual. Do not start a new business today, especially if it involves women’s products, beauty, music or the arts. Not a good day to try to reach amicable agreements, especially with those near and dear to you. Some will tend to become disappointed in a big way. The air is filled with distance and coldness so don’t attempt to make up with your lover if you have had a fight, as they will not want to hear your plight and may just turn their back and walk the other way. Friendships and new romances will not get off to a good start and may involve heavy responsibilities later on or you find out you have to look after them more than is healthy. Not a good day to start a new business as the setbacks and delays may curtail your freedom and not be worth the effort applied.
Sunday 10 April: Sun square Saturn. There are potential limitations imposed by this angle. This influence is not conducive to asking for a raise, getting married, taking on a new job, starting a new business or even going for an interview. Chances are there will be problems, delays, restrictions or other depressing conditions to cope with if you try to tackle difficult problems on a day like this. No new ventures should be decided upon or started to avoid problems that could last for many years to come. This can be a disappointing day if you plan to make any significant personal decision that affects your well being and your future plans. This can have long-term ramifications so choose wisely. Not the day to approach the boss for a raise, as people in power are prone to be unreachable. There can be barriers or walls to challenge those who try to make peaceful negotiations, so refrain from these today where possible. An elderly person or a VIP may be in the news and showing concern for their safety or position. Someone in power or politics or royalty may lose their status or standing in the community.
Thursday 28 April: Mercury opposition Jupiter. Big plans made today may not fulfil your initial requirements, further down the road. If you order one hundred of something, it may turn out that you only needed five. The emphasis will be on expansion and learning, but the effort and enthusiasm will be just as big an ask. Commit only to what you are suited to, or else you could find yourself out on a limb in less time that you can say your name.
Saturday 30 April: Venus square Neptune. This unhelpful alignment may lure some people who are planning to mix business with pleasure and this brings about disappointment, loss or other confusion due to outright deception or serious camouflage. It is not the time to commit to a relationship or even a friendship, for there is likely to be something glossed over that hides the real truth or some elementary ugliness. An apparent secure relationship may come unstuck and reveal a trail of dishonesty, treachery and lies. Those who live life on the surface and pretend to be happy will be faced with having to show their dirty washing and even then, there may still be something lurking in their pockets. Check all your facts and any new faces you meet today.
