Required: A Major Leap Of Faith
General overview for April 2007.
This month of April is going to be exceptionally helpful for most of us, as there are more positive alignments (11) compared to only (8) negative ones.
Not only does Pluto in Sagittarius turn retrograde, but also too does Jupiter turn retrograde just 5 days later. Both of the heavies of the zodiac are occupying the sign of Sagittarius which can be about our sense of faith and belief in the future. We may be required to take a major leap of faith during the next few months. This is not always easy, especially if we have already being going through trying times. Personally I will not be happy until they are both back in direct motion, which will not occur until August for Jupiter, and late September for Pluto.
Aside from all of that, we do have some fortunate major shifts in direction, namely from Saturn, who will turn direct on Friday 20 April. This at least can help us to remain grounded and focus on what really needs to be done. Obligations and duties will seem less onerous for most of us who are trying to be mature in a decision making.
With all the positive planetary alignments this week we will be able to make the best use of our time and put into practice how we mean to carry on. Whilst there will also be some challenging planetary alignments, we may be able to reduce their impact on us by concentrating on what our most useful skills are and be as productive as we possible can during the beneficial days.

In chronological order there are various changes in the heavens this month and they are: Pluto turns retrograde on 1 April; there will be a Full Moon on 3 April; Jupiter turns retrograde on 6 April; Mars enters Pisces also today (6 April); Mercury enters Aries on 11 April; Venus enters Gemini on 12 April; there will be a New Moon on 17 April; Saturn goes direct on 20 April; and the life-giving Sun will also enter Taurus today (20 April); Mercury is on the move again and enters Taurus on 27 April.
Pluto turns retrograde on Sunday 1 April and will remain in this phase up until 6 September. Pluto is the transformer of the zodiac, and will literally turn your life around when making alignments to your own personal planets. However, when in retrograde phase it allows you the opportunity, once again to re-assess your current motives, your passions, your intimate relationships and your attitude towards life, death, and even sex, to decide if what you have chosen in recent times is for your overall good and development. Personally I prefer it when Pluto is in direct motion, but as I have said before, we can’t always have the planets where we want them or going in the direction we may prefer. Utilise this time to delve into your subconscious, explore your deepest psyche and uncover elements that you thought were hidden, even from yourself, and analyse them as if your life depended on it. The revelations you may experience may literally wipe your current slate clean and allow you to pursue your goals with absolute freedom when Pluto resumes direct motion in September 2007. Pluto will remain in Sagittarius until 27 November 2008. Pluto will retrograde back into Sagittarius for five months starting in June 2008 and then re-enter Capricorn in late November 2008.
There will be a Full Moon on Tuesday 3 April with the Sun at 12 degrees Aries and the Moon at 12 degrees of Libra so there may be cross currents of what some people feel represents expressing their own personal needs, and those who are only interested in sharing things, and/or being equal and fair for all concerned. I always feel that this represents a clash between “I am” (typically Arian) and “us” (typically Libra). Some people may have to consider looking at a situation from the other person’s point of view, rather than their own personal priorities.
Jupiter turns retrograde on Friday 6 April and remains in this phase up until 6 August. This I feel will reflect in many and varied ways according to your own unique position and beliefs about life, as Jupiter has rulership over faith. This could prove to be a time when some of us will question our faith and whether it is strong enough to sustain us in trying times. The earthquake in Bam in Iran would have to be one of those disasters, where those who are affected would question why this has happened to them. Their beliefs may undergo scrutiny and re-assessment. Some may feel they can no longer believe what they have always believed and may have a change of heart about how they will now view their lives. Jupiter also has to do with the courts and the justice system, so here again there may be some long drawn out situations, or perhaps a decision is made that is challenged by many who disagree with the initial outcome. Some people may want the justice system changed to incorporate capital punishment, and whether this is a wise choice or not, is not for me to decide. We could also see further incidents to do with issues surrounding the travel and sporting industries, especially those related to horses, and associated events which may come under scrutiny due to the influence of Jupiter in Sagittarius.
Also today (6 April) Mars will enter Pisces and remain in this sign up until 15 May 2007. Pisces is a sensitive and humanitarian sign, and Mars can be brash and overly eager to get things moving. Some people may misdirect their energies during this time and their actions may contradict their intentions. Heated emotions are likely to result in unconscious actions which don’t know how to express themselves. Stay away from brooding types and those who are somewhat shady, to say the least. There could be some fires, accidents or explosions connected to oil wells, petrol stations and angst connected to any of these or the shipping industry.
Mercury will enter Aries on Wednesday 11 April and remain in this sign up until 27 April. The news is likely to be concerned with young people, winners of races and sporting events. Air travel problems are likely and anything where speed is going to be involved. People who tend to get headaches and nervous disorders may suffer more than usual.
Venus will enter Gemini on Thursday 12 April and remain in this sign up until 8 May 2007. Thoughts can turn to matters of peace and harmony and some negotiations are likely to be reached by those who try hard enough to achieve an amicable agreement. If people have the purest possible intentions, then this can be a time of gaining some universal solutions to difficult problems. Artists, writers, musicians and poets may produce some wonderful works and can sell these ideas to the public with relative ease. However Gemini is a changeable sign, so don’t count on stability or people sticking to their decisions. They could be in love with one person one day, and off looking at someone else the next.
There will be a New Moon at 27 degrees of Aries on Tuesday 17 April. This can signal a time to challenge us to do our best, attempt to reach the goal first and to energise ourselves into putting more effort into what we want to start, and eventually complete. It is the natural time (annually) to try to make a new start and unify our energies, mind and muscles into action for the coming year.
Saturn turns direct on Friday 20 April which can assist those people who are mature and well organised to get back on track if things have not been that way during the previous four and a half months. The entertainment industry may now become more prosperous. Matters connected to children may take on a more serious and responsible approach, which is not a day too soon.
Also today (20 April) the life-giving Sun will enter Taurus and remain in this sign up until 21 May 2007. For a month long period there will be rigidity and stiffness associated with what some believe is the only way to go or get things done. Whilst this can be good in moderation, the side effects are that there will be little flexibility and this can cause aggravation and a one eyed view of the world. The banking and financial industries may undergo some restructuring. People will be looking for practical solutions to problems. Luxuries, materialism and comfort will be a priority for some. This can be a productive time for starting a new business, especially if you are prepared to put in the dedication of a long period of time. Quick results will not manifest during this time.
Mercury is moving swiftly this month and will enter Taurus on Friday 27 April and remain in this sign up until 11 May 2007. This will see a focus on financial matters, financial institutions such as banks and building societies and interest rates. The positives are that some people can use this time for serious mental concentration and get things done if they plod away long enough. Thoughts of stabilisation will be uppermost in various people’s minds. Someone connected with the arts may be in the news and receiving lots of attention. The negatives are that some will become opinionated and stubborn in their thinking and unable to move beyond their philosophical boundaries that are set in concrete. Some people will be immovable and unshakeable from their roots or their home turf.
For horary enthusiasts, continuing all month we still observe Neptune in Aquarius and Uranus in Pisces indicating that they are still in mutual reception.

Monday 2 April: Mercury conjunct Uranus. The grey matter can be stimulated and some will have flashes of insight into previously tricky problems. A great day to try to solve a puzzle or attempt some brainstorming. New ideas could revolutionise existing thoughts and make headway for some exciting new ones. There could be some new discoveries or inventions arise in the course of the day and those who are the geniuses on the planet will also be inspired more than usual. A good day to open a communications or other business involved in the transference of information or ideas. Starting to write, or even launching a new book could also prove highly successful and grab the attention of those seeking something new and different. This alignment holds the promise of surprise and excitement. If you wish to start a unique advertising campaign or launch your ideas out into the big wide world, choose this day to do it. Many communications will contain startling information or news that will surprise people. New websites or other communications businesses, such as magazines or newspapers, that are launched today will fare well but will need to be constantly coming up with new concepts and stimulating ideas to keep us entertained and enlightened. Thursday 5 April: Mars sextile Pluto. A great day to open a gym or get involved in any business or project with the aim of improvement or transformation. A good day to start some home renovations as the energy and ideas will be there. Also a good time to buy a new car, start your own mechanical engineering business or car retailing, or car repair shop. Sunday 8 April: Mercury sextile Venus. (Repeated from 17 March 2007). This tends to incline people towards thoughts of love, harmony and peace. Some will write lengthy declarations of their feelings for the one they adore. Peaceful negotiations are highly likely for those who have the best interests of everyone at heart. A good day to have a celebration, throw a party, go on a special date, get engaged or married. Businesses focussing on communications and the elements of romance will fare well, such as greeting cards offering words of love and friendship. A day of love and poetry and light hearted fun and frivolity. Take time out today to enjoy some lovely music or pleasant scenery and you will be aligning your actions in accord with the romantic and peaceful vibrations of the heavens. Romantic attachments and friendships formed today will be free of jealousy or binding commitments. People will want to be carefree and concerned only with happiness and pleasure.
Also on Sunday 8 April: Sun trine Saturn: This promises to keep the established order of things on the right track. If you wish to impress the boss, or show them how responsible and hard working you are, then choose today to make your move. Choose to be upstanding, conservative and reliable and your efforts will be recognised, perhaps not overnight, but it will happen. Applying for jobs in the public service or other traditional establishment will meet with success if you follow the rules to the T. Tuesday 10 April: Sun trine Jupiter. This is a beautiful alignment of the life-giving Sun with expansive Jupiter. It can provide us with the inspiration and faith to get any new endeavour under way with enthusiasm and sincerity of purpose. Open an entertainment centre or have a huge banquet or festival then and it will go off like a rocket to the Moon. This is also a good day to get married, start new friendships and any project involved with gold, glamour or places of amusement or the publishing industry. It is also one of the better kind of planetary times to commence just about anything that is important to you. A new store or business opening today would do well if focussed on books, publishing, the travel industry or to do with the law. Thursday 12 April: Sun sextile Neptune. This is one of those days that will seem magical to those who are open and attuned to the cosmic vibrations around them. A positively inspiring day and one that will be long remembered as a day that brings the beautiful side of nature and life to our attention and the recognition that there are great wonders all around us, each and every day, if we just open our eyes and senses. Spend some time relaxing near the ocean and it will soothe your tired or restless soul. Music will be inspirational and those who are gifted in this area may create some magical lyrics or tunes. Opening a store selling musical or artistic products should fare well.
Thursday 19 April: Sun trine Pluto. This can prove to be a great time to try to remake yourself or change your spots, if you need to. A day to spring clean, get rid of the old and outworn and be refreshed by the newness of starting out on a new path. Someone in power may take a gigantic leap forward or be presented with an offer that almost seems too good to be true, but it will ultimately change the course of their destiny. A wonderful day to get married or start some new enterprise that involves reform or renovation in any way. If you wish to pull down the walls and rebuild them, this is the best time to do it. New relationships formed today, whether friendship or intimate, will literally put your life into a different perspective and possibly change your life forever.
Saturday 21 April: Mercury trine Saturn. This brings the kind of day to get truly focussed and organised, especially with paperwork, telephone calls and any demanding job that requires concentration and attention to detail. Maybe balance the cheque-book or start a new study course. Jobs commenced today may have long term obligations involved so if you are mature and keen to plant the seeds for things to grow slowly yet surely, take some action and get started today. This is also a good time to sit down and do some serious planning for your future. You will feel organised and enjoy the challenge of putting your life in order and meeting your obligations. Any new business proposal can be considered to be worth your effort or investigation.
Sunday 22 April: Mercury trine Jupiter. This angle promises those who strive to see the bigger picture will do so and teach those who listen how to find it themselves. A great day to start a holiday or travel to places previously unseen. This could prove to be a great day to start writing a new book, open a book store or one associated with the travel industry. People will generally tend to be liberal and broad-minded in their thinking and approach to life. Also a favourable day to start teaching, lecturing or writing a lengthy project. The area of communications and information will be busy and any business started today that connects with these will fare well. This is a good time for negotiations and for getting your message across. The advertising and news media areas will be highly productive. There could be a merger between two large organisations, companies or countries, that can benefit everyone involved. Monday 23 April: Mercury sextile Neptune. This is a wonderful alignment for us fragile human beings, especially if we wish to tune into the cosmos and see what is really there. This can be a brilliant day to tune in and discover some amazing enlightenment as to our place in the scheme of things. New publications released today will do well, especially if they can incorporate some measure of mystery in their stories. Starting a new book with a focus on the mysteries of the universe, dreams or psychic phenomena will turn out very well. Travel brochures will be eagerly snapped up today and bookings made for overseas destinations with great enthusiasm. Friday 27 April: Mercury trine Pluto. This is the day that detectives and the police can uncover hidden motives, dead bodies, or anything else that has been covered over. Those who seek to discover what lies beneath the surface of things will be pleasantly surprised with what they find. Saturday 28 April: Venus sextile Saturn. This is the type of alignment that suggests a good time for entering into new negotiations, friendships or marriage. The not so favourable days in April 2007 are:
Monday 2 April: Venus square Saturn. Not a good day to get married, start a new relationship or go on a first date. Any one of these will be productive of delays, limitations or burdens and other difficulties that will be hard to overcome. People will tend to be hard to reach or fathom or understand. Barriers that tend to divide will be more noticeable than usual. Do not start a new business today, especially if it involves women’s products, beauty, music or the arts. Not a good day to try to reach amicable agreements, especially with those near and dear to you. Some will tend to become disappointed in a big way. The air is filled with distance and coldness so don’t attempt to make up with your lover if you have had a fight, as they will not want to hear your plight and may just turn their back and walk the other way. Friendships and new romances will not get off to a good start and may involve heavy responsibilities later on or you find out you have to look after them more than is healthy. Wednesday 4 April: Mercury square Jupiter. Big plans made today may not fulfill your initial requirements, further down the road. If you order one hundred of something, it may turn out that you only needed five. The emphasis will be on expansion and learning, but the effort and enthusiasm will be just as big an ask. Commit only to what you are suited to, or else you could find yourself out on a limb in less time that you can say your name. It would be wise not to commit yourself to anything today that could bring you possible legal difficulties further down the road. People will over-commit or take on more than is wise and choke on it all at a later time. People cannot be trusted to do as they say or follow through on obligations.
Thursday 5 April: Venus square Neptune. This unhelpful alignment may lure some people who are planning to mix business with pleasure and this brings about disappointment, loss or other confusion due to outright deception or serious camouflage. It is not the time to commit to a relationship or even a friendship, for there is likely to be something glossed over that hides the real truth or some elementary ugliness. An apparent secure relationship may come unstuck and reveal a trail of dishonesty, treachery and lies. Those who live life on the surface and pretend to be happy will be faced with having to show their dirty washing and there may still be something lurking in their pockets. Tuesday 10 April: Mercury square Pluto. . This is an aspect that will test those who are trying to push their wares or ideas on others, for resistance will be felt, which could be very subtle and hidden from view. Documents, alarming news and propaganda will claim the mass attention in some way so be alert and read everything thoroughly that you have to sign. Preferably wait for a more fortunate time to commence any new undertaking, especially if it involves taxes, insurance, or other joint monetary ventures. We need to guard against being manipulated or coerced into something we would rather not do. People who insist on digging up old matters from the past will find they cannot heal their wounds just yet, as it is too painful or confronting. There are likely to by many communications that should be mistrusted, whether verbal, e-mail or by letter. Documents may be misleading or have loop holes that are indiscernible. Monday 23 April: Venus square Mars. This is a contentious aspect between Venus, the planet of love and harmony, and Mars, the God of War. This can be highly problematic when it comes to relationships. Men and women will generally speaking not see eye to eye, or they both have a totally different agenda. This is not a good day to have a first date, get engaged or married. There is too much potential discord and people only seeing the physical or exterior of each other rather than the true personality. Physical attraction will be the name of the game so if you are the sensitive, emotional and romantic kind, do not get involved with a new partner around this time as this is definitely not the roses and candlelight aspect. This is more than likely going to bring about hot and steamy encounters that often are not long lasting, though they can be if each person is highly evolved and mature. Friday 27 April: Venus square Uranus. This can throw a spanner in the works or a curve ball your way that you were not anticipating. It is not a favourable influence for starting new friendships, relationships or getting married, so I would wait for a more opportune blending of heavenly star patterns. If unions are commenced today they may be brief or the person leaves very abruptly with almost no warning. Those who choose today to marry may find themselves in the divorce courts before too long. It is an OK time to have a masquerade party or other social event where people are permitted to let their hair down and be as wild as they wish. Saturday 28 April: Venus opposition Jupiter. This is not perhaps the worst day in the month, unless you are going shopping with that brand new credit card and get carried away by all the goodies on offer. Things will be over-done and lavish and if you apply this in relation to a party, well at least everyone will have a good time, even if they do eat and drink too much or start some new relationship that seems inappropriate to their status. Weddings held today will be big, brash, boastful and very expensive. Diamond dealers may have a good retail trading day as will businesses selling perfumes, flowers, clothing, jewellery and other items of beauty and adornment. Sunday 29 April: Mars conjunct Uranus. This is highly explosive and accident prone time so do not start out on any new journey or buy a car today. Try to avoid working with heavy machinery or electrical items as something may go horribly wrong. Plans will be unsettled and errors likely to arise quite unexpectedly. Take your time if people start to get pushy or forceful. Riots can develop easily so avoid large gatherings or people who are out to start a fight. Do not make any particularly personal decisions today as this could be fraught with problems and dangerous conditions. There is the tendency for people to knee-jerk in their reactions to others if they do not get what they want or hear what they want to hear. This is an accident prone day relatively speaking. People generally won’t be co-operative and disruptive behaviour and even eccentricities will be far more intolerable to cope with than usual. Avoid those who are rebellious or anti-social for they will instigate disruptive actions that will attract problems for themselves and those around them.
